Product Description

This manuscript provides a quick reference to image evaluation criteria of the basic projections of the musculoskeletal system in conventional radiography.

The first part of the manuscript will focus on the technical factors and physical principles affecting radiographic mage.

The subsequent part will give emphasis on the quality criteria used to evaluate radiographs of skeletal system, skull, abdominal and respiratory system for ensuring technical quality and diagnostic acceptability. Methods to detect errors on radiographs of less than optimal quality for the above stated areas will also be indicated where appropriate. The tables have been modified from those in the first edition to suit the need for more information on image criteria.

Topics on optimizing image quality and radiography have also been added to further strengthen the knowledge on image evaluation to be of significance to the real clinical situation, a topic on radiographic appearances of some common disease that can be identified with conventional radiographic has been added. A listing of selected classic radiology signs has been included with corresponding images.

The list given is not meant to be exhaustive, but it is hoped that the information given is adequate as a guideline, especially for radiography students as well as practicing radiographers and the like.
